PROJECT
THE MAGIC POWER OF GAMES
First transnational meeting Antalya – Turkey 09.12.2019 – 13.12.2019
The first transnational meeting was held in December 2019 in Antalya, Turkey. The tasks were discussed and each of the partners – Macedonia, Romania, Turkey and Bulgaria – presented their country and school.
We met people from four different Balkan nations – Bulgarians, Turks, Macedonians and Romanians, as different as they are close in soul, folklore, historical destiny, full of expectations, curiosity but also a little mistrust. We experienced unforgettable moments together in a professional and informal environment. We left enriched by the shared experience, ideas and new friendships. Overcoming mutual prejudices we felt a lot of positive emotions and satisfaction.
The program included a welcoming ceremony. Children with the national flags of the participating countries were built in the yard of the host school, creating a friendly atmosphere. A music and dance folklore program was presented, in which the guests gladly joined. The director welcomed us, we enjoyed pleasant homemade cakes, guitar performance, local musical instruments and the singing of Turkish colleagues.
We heard a lecture on “Creative dramatization and the role in creating and developing social and decision-making skills.” We also learned about the importance of reducing stress in children and motivating them to get involved in learning activities and improve their learning skills.
We participated in the workshop “Drama and self-expression in children.” Subsequently, we created a sample brochure to introduce parents.
The other interesting topic presented was “The role of games in relationships with their peers”, very impressively supported by a presentation of a fun educational team game, designed and backed up with practical tools by a local Turkish colleague – a teacher.
Some visits to local natural and cultural landmarks were organized, which confirmed the pleasant impressions of the hosts as a whole.
